During the 1st phase of the project, 16,000 nursery capacity comprising of 5000 Vitellaria, 4000 Pterocarpus and 7000 Khaya was established as against the planned 12,500 seedlings.

During the 1st phase of the project, 16,000 nursery capacity comprising of 5000 Vitellaria, 4000 Pterocarpus, and 7000 Khaya were established as against the planned 12,500 seedlings. Since education and training activities could not be done due to COVID 19, attention was shifted towards raising more seedlings.

Out of the 16000, seedlings raised 12,000 seedlings (comprising of 4000 Vitellaria,3000 Pterocarpus, and 5000 Khaya) have been planted as at the time of reporting.  Seedlings were in good condition for planting and there was heavy rainfall to sustain the planted seedlings.
