Community Forest and Riparian Ecosystem (CFRE) Conservation and Livelihood Improvement in the upstream portion of the Black Volta River Basin (BVRB) of Ghana. This is a Rufford Foundation 1st Booster Grant of £10,000 (September 2020-October 2021) and supported by Lawra Forest Services Division, GreenWater Hut and Environment and Agroforestry Foundation. Promoting beekeeping as incentive package to support the conservation of Community Forest and Riparian Forest among communities in the Black Volta River Basin, supported by Ghana US Embassy (USD 7000)- November 2020 to December 2021.
The project will improve beekeeping value chain as incentive package for the management of community forest and riparian (CFRE) ecosystem by solving the problem of poor honey production resulting from lack of skills, tools and equipment leading to poor market price in honey production enterprise by involving four communities; Saan Baccie, Kuur and Zukpiri.
